Hi! My name is Barbara Grimm Actis, and I am a UI Architect and UX Designer. I have over 20 years of web development in my background, and found my true passion in the last 6 years specializing in n-tier Web UI Architecture and UX Design. I hold a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Northeastern University, which have given me a unique perspective that I frequently leverage when mapping my clients’ business strategy to their product UI strategy.
What do I have to offer beyond your average UX Designer? A wealth of hands-on technical and management experience with the power to vet your company’s UX designs for technical feasibility and capacity planning. I have used these skills to drive and help my employers and clients to navigate the tough UI conversations between VP and C-Level Executives, Product Management, and Engineering.
Outside of work, I enjoy ballroom dancing, designing and making jewelry, watching NFL football (New England Patriots and “Tompa Bay” Buccaneers), and spending time at the beach.
